The Juneteenth Celebration of Black Achievers was held at the Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University on June 15, 2024. This event was produced and presented by the African-American Ladies’ Legacy Foundation (AALLF) in partnership with Governors State University. It was an evening of elegance and recognition of Illinois’ Notables. These Black Achievers were inducted into the Illinois Black Hall of Fame (IBHOF), Class of 2024, and the Black Women of First Distinction (BWOFD), Class of 2024. This Juneteenth (Jubilant) Celebration of Black Achievers was held in recognition of the Juneteenth National Holiday.
