IBHOF: Honoring the Past...Celebrating the Present...Inspiring the Future

The Illinois Black Hall of Fame (IBHOF) serves as the signature fundraiser for the African-American Ladies’ Legacy Foundation. It is through your support we can provide Scholarships to deserving students, as well as implement our LegacyGirl Leaders Summer Drama Camp. The IBHOF provides a venue for writing and preserving a narrative of African American individuals who have made significant contributions to the state of Illinois and the global community. Additionally, we recognize Black Women of First Distinction (BWOFD), women wearing a First Distinction title in each profession. We capture a Juneteenth Celebration theme centered around a Juneteenth Celebration of Black Achievers.
